It first came as a Facebook post when a fan who allegedly lives in Ajegunle reported about his death,

then in reaction to this post, Babafryo Igwe of the popular Denge Pose reacted by saying; "I just saw a post that Peter the alanta originator is dead, if this is true, those popular artist who benefited from  his creative work should do something."

Confirming the sad incident his friend Kimi Ranking slammed his colleagues and fans. 

He said, "when Alanta was alive how many of us showed him love?"

 We gathered that peter gave up the ghost after some months of fighting an undisclosed illness.

Peter came into limelight in the 2000's when he started the alanta moves with the release of his popular song alanta, the song was also remixed by Raymond king and Arthquake.

There's also a claim that the reigning song Shakushaku came from alanta. 

The deceased associates were Oritsefemi, Professor Linkin, Marvellous Benji and Omo Jesu.
